Lone Pine Limited is owned by Andy Guinn, who has over 13 years of experience in education and a lifetime of spending time outdoors. He established LPL as a Licensed Provider for WMTC in 2026 after spending several years as an affiliate instructor. With many wilderness medicine schools to choose from, Andy chose to teach for WMTC because he appreciates the commitment to quality curriculum, hands-on learning experiences, and personal feel of a small organization. 

Andy spends most of his time as a math and science teacher in a public alternative high school in Colorado. He has a passion for providing outdoor experiences for his students and introducing them to what he hopes become a life-long joy of spending time outside. In addition to teaching wilderness medicine classes for WMTC, he has experience coaching middle and high school mountain biking, as a raft guide on the San Juan RIver in southwest Colorado, and leading trips for his students throughout the southwest. 

In his free time, Andy is happy taking part in just about any outdoor activity. He loves to hike, ski, raft, bike, fish, ride horses, camp, multi-person-paddleboard, tube, watch sunsets, splash in puddles, play fetch, garden, sit next next to the water, or just about anything else you suggest.
